New...
Everyone affected by hurricane Helene. If you would like to know how you can donate, please see the items we are collecting at the end of this post. Here are some ways you can pray:
1 - Pray for peace for those who have lost loved ones and homes in the floods.
2 - Pray for disaster response volunteers who are serving
Rhonda Robinson's brother, Mike Boone - he was in his home while it was destroyed in the hurricane. He's currently in the hospital with multiple injuries.
Greg Quinn's sister, Kim Dorman - her husband passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Friday. The funeral will be this week.
Grace Lukas (daughter of friends of the Wiles family) - in the hospital with pneumonia. There is a concern for dehydration so please pray for that and for her antibiotics to help her heal.
Carrie Taylor's uncle, Tom Graham - in a very serious motorcycle accident - in the hospital with multiple injuries.
Carrie Ratledge's mother, Debbie Tenery - lung cancer. Praise that she is finished with her chemo/radiation but still needs prayer as she has monthly immunotherapy infusions.
Burt Bond from Vulcan – passed away from cancer

As Pastor Phillip announced yesterday, we will have a SendNC truck here this Sunday, October 6th, to collect items for the hurricane victims. I was able to speak with a rep from NC Baptists this morning and here are the items they would prefer to collect. In addition to these items, they always accept monetary donations through their organization so please feel free to donate that way as well. Although we will collect clothing, bedding items, etc. at some point, FOR THIS WEEK, here are the items we'd prefer:
Personal hygiene items - soaps, hand sanitizer
Baby products - formula, diapers, wipes
Cleaning products - Shovels, mops, rakes, wheel barrows, paper towels, toilet paper
Canned foods - POP TOP CANS PLEASE!
Non-perishable items - protein/breakfast bars, peanut butter, water
Plastic cutlery
First aid supplies
If you would like to bring your items before Sunday, we have trailers available to hold those until the truck becomes available. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Thank you all for showing love in action! What a great way for us to share Jesus with those in need.
