FBC Upcoming Events & Prayer Needs 11-30-2023

Updated: Dec 4, 2023

Events:

8 Days of Prayer

Beginning this Sunday, December 3rd, is our 8 Days of Prayer. Each day will have a specific prayer need for the missionaries supported by FBC. The December newsletter will have details so be sure to pick up your copy on Sunday morning.

We will also post each day on Facebook and through our Remind text system wth that day's prayer need.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence.

She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®.

We will be collecting for the Lottie Moon Offering through the end of December. Please put your offering in a Missions envelope or make a note on the memo line of your check.

Community Food Drive

Now through December 10th we will be collecting food and monetary donations to provide for families that are in need over the 2-week Christmas holiday break. Many families depend on the meals provided by the schools, so during the break, many are without food. A list will be provided each week for items to be donated to ensure each family receives a variety to cover all 3 daily meals plus snacks & desserts. You can also sponsor an entire family for $170. Our goal is to minister to 50 families this year. You can give online by selecting the Food Drive option or leave cash/check in a tithing box. Be sure to write Food Drive on your envelope!

This Sunday, there will be coolers in the lobby where you can drop off your perishable items. You can also leave any other non-perishable items you have.

Small Groups Meet This Week

A Christmas Gathering

This year our FBC Christmas program will look very different. We will start the night off outside at 5pm keeping warm and cozy by the fire while drinking hot chocolate, coffee, cider and eating yummy Dewey’s Moravian Sugar Cake. Afterwards, we will gather together in the Worship Center to hear the Christmas story and sing carols. We are so excited to spend this special night with our FBC family celebrating the birth of our Savior!

Come and join us on Sunday, December 10th at 5:00pm!
