Each December we have a week of prayer to focus on the needs of our missionaries. We have reached out to the missionaries we support to ask what specific prayer needs they have at this time. Please take a moment each day to pray for them, their families and their ministry.

Day 8: Word of Life Missionaries, Chad & Ashley Harwell

Chad & Ashley Harwell are our Word of Life missionaries. The Harwell’s are members here at Farmington and Chad serves as an Elder. On our final day of prayer we would ask that you pray for the Harwell family and their ministry with Word of Life. Chad is the Regional Coordinator for the Piedmont region of WOL missionaries. As the Regional Coordinator, Chad oversees the missionary families in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Here are a few specific ways that you can pray for the Harwell family:

1. Pray for Owen’s salvation.

2. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they lead the Piedmont team (VA, NC and SC).

3. In January, Chad will be part of a team of writers creating lessons for the Word of Life Student ministry. These lessons will be part of the 2025-26 curriculum and will be translated into multiple different languages.

4. Pray for their Connect conference on Jan. 27th. This leadership conference will be a hybrid of live/virtual training in 28 locations to invest in the lives of youth leaders all over the world.
